Dr. Christopher Edordu is a renowned economist, former President and Chairman of the board of Afreximbank, former Managing Director and CEO of the Nigerian ExportImport Bank. He was the former Chairman of the National Agricultural Credit study. He currently serves as the Chairman on the Board of Directors of Elixir Asset Management Limited.
He is a member of the Advisory Board of Bourse Africa. He has significant experience in the banking sector and has several laurels to his name. He has worked across the entire spectrum of banking including the continental, national and rural levels. At the continental level, Dr. Edordu was the pioneer President as well as the Chairman of the Board of the African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank) based in Cairo, Egypt.
Dr. Edordu served as the Managing Director and CEO of the Nigerian Export-Import Bank. He had a stint in rural banking and was the Chairman of the National Agricultural Credit Study which formed the basis for the establishment of Community Banks in Nigeria. Dr. Edordu also held several positions in the Central Bank of Nigeria from which he retired as Departmental Director. He has also held several Board and similar positions within the Nigerian governmental system. He was actively engaged in international trade finance as well as projects in Africa for many years.
Samuel Aikhionbare holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Benin. He currently sits on the Board of Directors as the Chairman of Elixir Securities Limited. He was previously Head - Business Development at Ascot Flowlines limited.
Prior to that, he was the Head - Business Development, at Oando Services Limited, Manager- Business Development at Resourcery Limited and the Operations Manager – Vesa Food Agencies.
Samuel has over 20 years’ experience and competence in the Oil and Gas sector. He is currently the Head, Crude Desk of Aiteo Energy Resources Limited. Courses attended includes International Oil Supply, transportation, Refining & Trading (SP1) in 2001 and International Oil Trading & Pricing (TR1) in 2002 from Oxford, UK
Group Managing Director
Clara Mshelia - Whyte is the Group Managing Director Of Elixir Investment Partners Limited and also the Managing Director/CEO of Elixir Asset Management Limited.
She was the Managing Director/CEO of BGL Asset Management Limited. Prior to this, she held the position of Deputy Managing Director of the same company. Clara was also a Vice President of BGL Securities Ltd, holding the office of Chief Marketing Officer in the company’s Northern Region. She has an LLB Law Degree from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State and obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the Nigerian Law School in 1998.
Prior to joining BGL Plc; Clara worked as a solicitor with Ricky Tarfa & Co Chambers and at Admiralty Fleet Limited as the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser. She has extensive experience in Investment Banking and Asset Management.
She has attended various courses on the Nigerian Capital Market and Investment Banking including courses on client relationship management, how financial markets work, pension fund, strategy, marketing and selling financial services, asset securitisation. She attended the Harvard Business School High Potential Leadership Programme in 2008. Clara is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
Sarah Ogbemudia is Executive Partner in charge of Corporate Services and Institutions at Elixir Investment Partners Limited and is the Executive Director Elixir Asset Management Limited. She has 13 years cognate experience in Business Development and Client Relationship Management.
Prior to joining Elixir, she held a position as the Head, Client Advisory Division (Lagos) of BGL Asset Management Limited. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Regional Planning from the University of Ilorin and MBA from the University of Nottingham, UK.
Sarah began her professional career in the consumer banking unit of First Bank Plc. where she was trained as a client service quality assurance specialist. Following this, she had a stint in BGL limited before proceeding to Bank PHB Plc. (now Keystone Bank) where she built a career spanning 10 years holding leadership roles in the Commercial and Personal banking as well as the Public Sector Units with emphasis on client retention and business performance.
Sarah was part of the strategic team of the bank that developed the personal banking structure formulated to create a total banking experience for High net-worth individuals. Prior to re-joining the BGL Group, she was a Branch Business Manager in Keystone Bank with responsibilities that included strategy formation to identify and harness business opportunities in the Middle and Upper tier markets. She has attended extensive local and international training courses and seminars on Asset Management, Client Relationship Management, International Trade, Investment Banking and Strategic Marketing amongst others.
Dotun Adegbite is the Managing Director of Elixir Capital Partners Limited. He provides overall strategic leadership to the firm’s financial advisory, capital raising and principal investment businesses. Dotun is a finance professional with over 13 years’ experience spanning Investment Banking, Financial Advisory and Management Consulting. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst charter, MBA (Finance) with Distinction from University of Leicester, UK and a B.Sc. degree (First Class) in Building from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
In various senior positions at world-class global and Nigerian firms, he has led transactions advising several Nigerian state government cabinets, federal ministries and agencies; and private sector entities on their strategic, operational, financing and capital raising programs. He possesses strong sector expertise in the infrastructure space where he has been involved in structuring, negotiating and raising financing for public-private partnership projects and concessions. He also has had significant exposure in structuring transactions in the energy sector including oil and gas projects and power plants. His power sector transaction experience covers both hydro and gas-powered generating companies where he has advised several clients in their bid to acquire power generation companies, and raise capital for their capacity recovery programs in the recently concluded $3.5billion dollar privatisation of the Government-owned power utility companies in Nigeria.
Prior to leading the setup of Elixir Capital Partners as the pioneer Managing Director, Dotun was Head of Capital Markets and Infrastructure team at Àrgentil Capital Partners, an energy and infrastructure-focused boutique investment firm. He has also had significant capital markets experience leading a team that acted as Financial Adviser, Lead Issuing House or Joint Issuing House to over ten (10) sub-sovereign bond issues by several Nigerian state governments. He commenced his professional career in consulting where he attained the position of a Manager in the globally respected firm, KPMG Professional Services and led teams in strategy, institutional reform of public sector organisations and business operations’ optimisation for clients in the telecommunications, consumer markets and FMCG sectors.

Ismail Bolaji Balogun is the Chief Financial Officer of Elixir Investment Partners Limited. He is a seasoned Finance & Accounting professional, with over 15 years of delivering value in organizations across various sectors. He has led and participated in several profitable initiatives across Treasury Management, Financial Strategy, Auditing, Tax Administration, etc. Competencies such as Critical thinking, Business Intelligence , Problem-solving skill, Interpersonal skills, Analytical skills, Integrity, to mention a few, have made him an outstanding asset to organizations he has worked for.
Prior to joining Elixir Investment Partners, Ismail was the Head, Account and Operation at Meristem Wealth Management Limited; Head, Account and Finance at Meristem Registrars & Probate Services Ltd, Assistant Manager – Audit at Averti Professional Managers, Audit Senior at S.A Bammeke And CO, and an accountant at Handy Multi-Solutions Ltd. He holds a B.Sc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks University, UK. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAN) and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

Henrietta Onyebuchi-Akobi is the Group, head Enterprise Risk Management & Compliance of Elixir Investment Partners Limited. She is a fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) with vast experience in Audit, Governance, Risk management and Compliance, Chartered Stockbroker and Certified Information System Auditor. An astute professional with over 20 years of cognitive experience with a track record of ensuring companies are functioning in complete compliance with all national and international rules and regulations.
Henrietta started her career with Raphael Anyama & Co. Chartered Accountants in the year 1999-2002. She moved to Reliance Telecommunications Limited as the Financial Reporting Accountant. She was the Group Head, Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance for Futureview Financial Services Limited before joining Elixir Investment Partners Limited as Group, head Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance in 2021.
She served as a Member of Investigation panel of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of Marketing Committee of ISACA Lagos chapter.
